This award-winning Iowa City home was the Winner of the 2023 Phius Passive Buildings Design Competition - Single-Family Category. Oak Tree Homes worked with Sol design + consulting and the homeowner/general contractor to build a super-efficient, durable, and inviting home on a tight infill site in Iowa City, balancing Passive House performance, budget constraints, and neighborhood compatibility. This all-electric, low-carbon passive house exemplifies sustainable, contemporary living, and was designed to blend seamlessly with its surroundings while prioritizing energy efficiency and environmental responsibility.
